Match Day 1 of the Champions League ended on Wednesday

Last season’s finalists Manchester City won a thrilling 6-3 affair against RB Leipzig.

Real Madrid needed a late Rodrygo goal to see off Inter Milan at the San Siro.

Liverpool threw away a one-goal lead and then fought back to win 3-2 against AC Milan at Anfield.

Atletico Madrid played out a goalless draw with FC Porto in Spain and Ajax thrashed Sporting Lisbon 5-1.

Lionel Messi is yet to score for Paris Saint-Germain and played from the start in the 1-1 draw with Club Brugge.
