

Togo has now joined the growing list of African countries with coronavirus cases and they include Cameroon, Senegal, South Africa, Nigeria, Tunisia and Algeria.
The Togolese Ministry of Health on Friday March 6, confirmed the country’s first coronavirus case.
The patient is a 42-year-old woman who travelled to Benin, France, Germany, and Turkey in late February and early March. She tested positive for the novel coronavirus known as COVID-19 in the country.
In a statement released by the government, the coronavirus case is currently being isolated at an infectious disease treatment center. There is also no major concerns regarding her health.
