Covid- 19! The killer virus that has turned children into orphans, husbands to widowers, and wives to widows is still out there bringing sorrows to the rich and poor. While Some people are cautious about Covid- 19, some Nigerians still think the disease is not in the country and just a myth.
Since February 2020 to date, Covid- 19 have ended thousands of lives in Nigeria and the figures have the probability of increasing if we don’t play our part by staying safe. Below are 3 prominent Nigerians who sadly passed away in 2021 after contracting Covid- 19.

The charismatic Pastor Yinka Akinbami of House On The Rock Church died on the 9th of January 2021 after contracting COVID- 19. His death was a very sad one for the members of his church and many other people in society.
Professor Ibidapo- Obe
Prior to his death, Professor Ibidapo- Obe was the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Council of First Technical University, Ibadan. As it was reported by PREMIUM TIMES, he died on the 3rd of January 2021 from Covid- 19 complications.
Chief Bolu Akin- Olugbade
On the 13th of January, The deadly Covid- 19 claimed the life of Nigerian billionaire businessman Chief Bolu Akin- Olugbade. As per reports, he died in Lagos at a private hospital accredited to manage the deadly virus. Even after having lots of riches and wealth, this virus came into play.

Dear readers, Covid- 19 is real! Don’t allow anyone to deceive you. Do not joke with your precious life.
