
Nigerian Graduate, POS Attendant, Dies After Truck Crashes Into Her Shop in Jalingo.
A young Nigerian university graduate, Cynthia Jonathan, has tragically died after a sand-laden truck rammed into her POS shop in Jalingo, Taraba State. The incident occurred at Mile 6, a busy area in the state capital, where Cynthia worked as a POS attendant.

According to eyewitnesses, the truck’s tire burst while the driver was speeding, causing him to lose control of the vehicle. The vehicle then crashed into Cynthia’s shop, killing her instantly. Six other individuals were reportedly injured and are currently receiving medical treatment.

Cynthia, described as a vibrant and hardworking young woman, was buried in Zing shortly after the accident. Friends and family mourned her sudden death, with many expressing shock and grief on social media.
Facebook user Jerison Amos, who visited the scene, shared details of the incident, urging drivers to avoid speeding in populated areas and cautioning pedestrians against staying too close to roadsides.

He wrote:
“This morning, I visited the location of the accident… According to eyewitnesses, the accident happened due to a tire burst, and the driver was speeding with brake failure. One person lost her life on the spot while six others are hospitalized.”
In a follow-up post, Amos confirmed Cynthia’s burial, stating:
“Finally, Cynthia was laid to rest a few hours ago… She was strong and healthy yesterday morning, but today she is no more. I can’t hold my tears.”

The tragic incident has sparked discussions on road safety, with many calling for stricter enforcement of traffic laws to prevent similar accidents. Nigerians on social media have also extended their condolences to Cynthia’s family, mourning the loss of a promising young life.
