Real Wahala!!! Daughters Fight Back As Ogboni Confraternity Cult Takes Their Father’s Corpse Away During Burial Ceremony.

Burial ceremony is one of the most grieving moments for families and friends of the deceased. It is the day you finally lay to rest your loved ones and wish them goodbye to mother earth. Tears, pains, and all kinds of grieves will be exhibited by moaners on the final day before they finally say ‘ rest in peace’ .

But how would the deceased rest in peace if he or she is not allowed to lay to rest? How?

A case in point is currently going on now in Ogun State, Ijebu to be precise, Aba- Aiyepe Town. The corpse of the deceased, a monarch, is said to have been forcefully taken away by an Ogboni Confraternity Cult during the burial ceremony for the late monarch.

According to reports circulating the news, like a commando, they came and take away the corpse of the dead monarch right in the presence of the friends, families, and other moaners.

You might want to ask who Ogbonis’ are and what they want. Well, I have an idea of who they are but I have no clue of what they want.

Ogboni Confraternity is a cult group predominantly domiciled among the Yoruba people in Nigeria. Their activities could also be found in states like Rivers, Edo, Delta, and even down to Togo, Benin, Liberia, and other Yoruba- speaking nations.

Their members, from the beginning, were usually monarchs and noble births in the society. But these days, it is open to all; provided you meet other requirements.

Ogboni is also of two types. The Ogboni Confraternity and the Reformed Ogboni Fraternity(ROF). The Aborigine Ogboni is strict and conservative while the reformed is modern and liberal. Rumor has it that when their members die, especially the first Ogboni cult I mentioned, they will cut off some parts of the deceased body to perform some rites. And this rites is a must for every member before burial. I guess the late monarch belongs to the first one.

Anyways, the daughters of the late monarch are not having any of these. They are fighting back in any way they can. According to reports, they said their father was a devoted Muslim man and he was never a member of the Secret Cult. But from what we know, members of secret cults do not disclose their membership to anyone. So the children possibly might not know.

It is also possible that the late monarch renounced his membership of the cult group at some point in time. Again, it is not easy to get out of this kind of cult group. Their membership is rumored to be for life– no getting out!

So what is the way forwards? Well, they have sued the Ogboni group for a start. What will follow next is what we are still expecting.
