Famous Nollywood actress, movie producer cum politician, Hon. Rita Daniels was on Thursday honoured with the prestigious African Leading Women Awards as one of the influential women in Africa.
Hon. Rita is currently the Chairman, Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) Delta State Chapter and also proud mother of the most celebrated teenage actress in Nigeria, Regina Daniels.
Regina Daniels is know for her outstanding beauty and talent in acting and interpretation of movie roles which no doubt she inherited from her mother.
Hon. Rita Daniels can be best described as a philanthropist, investor and skillful entrepreneur. She single-handedly groomed her daughter Regina from a regular teenage girl to a Nollywood star.
Hon. Rita is also the majority leader and counselor of Aniocha South Local Government Area, Delta State. She is the founder of ‘Last Point Resort’ and CEO Regina Daniels children foundation as well as the CEO Chris Daniels Nigeria Limited.
She was honoured with the Award at her Abuja residence by some members of the organizing team coordinated by the convener Amb. Chris Odey.
While thanking the organizers, Hon. Rita apologized for not making it to the event and pledged her support for women inclusiveness both in decision making and Nation building.
African Leading Women Conference/Awards is hosted annually by Goodwill Events Management Agency to celebrate Africa’s Most Industrious Leading Women in Business and other leadership positions across the globe.
The African Leading Women Awards has consistently honoured great African Women Achievers among whom are public servants, youth leaders, community builders, young entrepreneurs and captains of industries across the continent.
The Awards ceremony has fast become established as one of the biggest gatherings of influential global African Leading Women on the continent.
Some of the recipient of the Award include: the first lady of Sokoto State, Her Excellency, Maryam Mairo Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, King Tonto Dikeh, Chief Mrs Janet Amba Phf, (SA to the Executive Governor, Akwa Ibom State), Matilda Duncan, Ijeoma Sonia Ozurumba (Scents of April) amongst others.
