So Sad: Abuja Based Doctor Allegedly Poisoned and Murdered By His House boy – Details.

The family of a radiologist based in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, currently mourns after he and his friend were gruesomely murdered.

The murder of Dr Obialo Ibe took place earlier in the middle of the month, in the doctor’s house, early morning on the 15th of December. The doctor was living at Games Village in the FCT.

One of the deceased’s neighbours claimed the prime suspect in the murder was the doctor’s house boy, whose identity has not yet been ascertained. The boy is believed to have killed his boss and the friend by poisoning them, before finishing them off with a knife.

The unnamed neighbour also said that the houseboy, after killing his victims, took the doctor’s vehicle, some money, and drove away. He did not get too far before getting apprehended at the Nigeria- Niger border.

It’s a painful situation for Ibe’s sister, Ms Adanna Ibe, who narrated that on the day her brother and his friend died, they were supposed to travel abroad, to America. Sadly, that never happened.

Their bodies were discovered, with multiple stab wounds in the stomach and chest. In addition to the stolen SUV, several other items were missing, including some documents and luggage belonging to Ibe.

According to Adanna, who also stays in the house where her brother died, his friend had arrived to take him to the airport, while his sister left the house for work.

Adanna tried later to call Ibe to wish him a safe trip, but his line was not going through. After trying severally, she called Ibe’s house boy, who told her that Ibe was at home. She returned to the house, only to find a new padlock on the gate. She called the houseboy again, and he gave her the location of the key.

When she eventually entered, the corpses of her brother and his friend were left in a pool of blood in the house. The deaths have since attracted emotional tribute from the late doctor’s family and friends.
