Uniben Female Student’s Death.
The Edo State Police Command has paraded the suspect involved in the death of Glory Adekolure, a 22-year-old undergraduate student from the University of Benin.
The suspect, whose identity remains undisclosed, confessed to attempting to knock the woman unconscious by striking her head against a fence before fleeing with her purse.

The suspect explained that he acted out of fear of being caught when someone shone a flashlight towards them. He stressed that his intention that evening was only to steal the woman’s phone and handbag, not to cause her death.
“I didn’t want to kill her that night; my intention was to steal her handbag and her phone,” he stated during the police parade, as reported by Channels TV. “She clutched onto the purse so tightly that I assumed it was full of cash.

She resisted my efforts to simply take the phone and handbag and leave her unharmed. I banged her head against the fence and fled with the purse when I noticed a flashlight shining in our direction, but I was unaware that she had already passed away.”
