The rumoured death of Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari, keeps garnering reactions on social media.
President Buhari’s rumoured death has been fuelled by Nnamdi Kanu, a southeastern activist, and a freedom fighter, agitating for the independence of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.
Nnamdi Kanu has kept sharing a series of pictures of President Muhammadu Buhari in different time frames, to prove his claims that the Nigerian leader is dead, and has been replaced in Aso Rock.

According to Nnamdi Kanu, ” President Buhari is cloned and had been replaced with a body double called ” Jubril” from Sudan. “
The rumours of Buhari’s death which are widely shared online didn’t begin today. It began in 2017 when Buhari traveled to London for a medical checkup.
On November, 25th 2018, Nnamdi Kanu shared a two-sided photo on Twitter, questioning how possible it was for President Buhari to switch his writing hand from left to right.
Nnamdi Kanu’ s Tweet Reads:
” Here we have a supposed old man between 76- 85 yrs that suddenly switched his writing hand from left to right.
Could the @AsoRock handlers of Jubril clarify this mix-up?

We are patiently waiting for answers and I believe millions of people deserve an explanation. “
He however opted for an explanation as many shared mixed reactions below the Tweet.
On April 19, 2021, Nnamdi Kanu shared yet another photo in a bid to prove that the man in Aso Rock is not President Muhammadu Buhari, but his lookalike whom he calls Yusuf Abubakar Muhammad.
Nnamdi Kanu shared the photo with a caption saying, ” Ever since we unmasked the latest Buhari hyper-reality mask-wearing recruit from Niger Republic, real name Yusuf Abubakar Muhammad, his mask is now anchored around the neck instead of the ears.
Silicon has no ear cartilage. So it would go floppy if worn around the ears. “
Again, in May 14th, 2021, Nnamdi Kanu shared another photo with the caption, ” Lord said to these dry bones in 2015: ” I will enter you, and you will come to life in 2021. I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord. ” ~Ezekiel 37: 5. “
On that same day, the IPOB leader shared another photo that grasp the attention of many social media users, as many gave him a benefit of the doubt on his far-fetched story by listening to him.
This time, the IPOB leader claimed that the lines on Buhari’s palm, compared to the alleged Jubril of Sudan he claimed replaced him is different.
Nnamdi Kanu Tweeted saying;

On the 15th of May, 2021, Nnamdi Kanu shared yet another questionable photo of President Muhammadu Buhari with a daring caption saying, ” Without Nigerians, I wouldn’t have known how easy it is to deceive & enslave black people. Our brains cannot interpret what our eyes can see.

Meanwhile, his efforts have obviously not been enough as many Nigerians still dismiss his claims that President Muhammadu Buhari is dead and is being replaced/cloned.
A random Twitter user asked, ” If President Muhammadu Buhari is cloned as Nnamdi Kanu insists, why then is the man in Aso Rock still visiting foreign hospitals for medical checkups just as it was when Buhari came into power in 2015. “
