Anthony Joshua Thanks Fans for Support After Loss of “Brothers” in Nigeria Crash.
World heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has taken a moment to thank his supporters for their kindness following a personal tragedy. The boxer shared an emotional message about the loss of two close friends he considered brothers.
In a post on his official Facebook page, Joshua expressed his gratitude to fans and friends who have reached out with support. He was referring to the deaths of Sina Ghami and Latif ‘Latz’, who died in a car accident while visiting Nigeria with the champion last year.
“Thank you for all the love and care you have shown my brothers,” Joshua wrote. “I didn’t even realise how special they are.”
His message reflected on the simple, everyday moments they shared. “I’ll just be walking with them and cracking jokes with them, not even knowing God kept me in the presence of great men,” the boxer added.

Joshua admitted that dealing with the loss has been difficult. “100% it’s tough for me,” he wrote, before shifting his thoughts to the families of his friends. “But I know it’s even tougher for their parents.”
He ended the note with a statement of personal faith and a final tribute. “I have a strong mind, and I believe God knows their hearts. May God have mercy on my brothers.”

The accident that took the lives of Ghami and ‘Latz’ occurred in 2025. Joshua, who was not involved in the crash, has kept a relatively low profile regarding the incident until now. This public message offers a glimpse into the boxer’s personal grief and his appreciation for the community of support around him.
Fans have since flooded the comment section of his post with messages of condolence and strength, sharing in his remembrance of the two men.
