Father Be@ts His Only Daughter to Death in Akwa-Ibom.
In Nigeria domestic violence has become the order of the day, many have lost their lives as a result of this cankerworm that is eating up families and causing havoc in relationships.
Another young girl has died from domestic violence and her crime was using her father’s phone.
In Etim Ekpo Local Government Area, Ikpe Atai village precisely of Akwa Ibom state, a yet-to-be-identified father has done the unthinkable after his daughter used his phone to make calls.
Sadly this was his only daughter and she was 17 years old before her death.
On 11th December 2022, in the evening, the deceased was said to have taken her father’s phone to call her boyfriend, according to the mother, her father also wanted to use the phone to make calls as well and discovered that there was no airtime after checking the balance.
He inquired about who used his phone and was told it was the daughter. It was said he became furious as narrated by the mother and promised to deal with her and teach her a lesson she will never forget in her entire life for using his phone. Many people thought it was a joke.
He later fulfilled his promise of dealing with her.
On sighting his daughter returning home from where she went, the father bounced on her and started m0lesting and be@ting her continuously.
It took the efforts of the villagers and neighbours to stop the man from assaulting his daughter.
Unfortunately, in the process, she slump and fell on the floor, apparently from the heavy be@ting and bl0ws she received from her father. His father rushed her to the Church in an attempt to revive her, but it was too late, she was long gone.
The man has been arrested by the police and detained for questioning. He will be charged to court accordingly.
Meanwhile, the body of the deceased daughter has been deposited in the mortuary. It’s a sad one indeed.
