Foreigners Who Intervene in 2019 Elections will go back in Body Bags – Nasir El-Rufai, Nigerians Reacts

Following the statement by Governor of Kaduna State Nasir El-Rufai over the up-coming general elections 2019, Nigerians reacts.

El-Rufai a made the statement in a live broadcast program of Nigerian Television Authority when the topic of the international community’s role in elections was raised.

“We are waiting for the person who will come and intervene. They will go back in body bags because nobody will come to Nigeria and tell us how to run our country,” said El-Rufai.

“We have got that independence and we are trying to run our country as decently as possible,” he said.

Senator Shehu Sani‏  reacted to the statement by saying:

“Threatening foreigners with Body Bags is not nationalism or patriotism, it’s fascism. They simply want to switch off the lights, close the windows and the doors and count our votes. They are watering the flowers of our democracy with kerosene.”

Another Twitter user said:

“Is “Body Bags” statement not a Hate Speech??? That’s a clarion call to VIOLENCE and it’s sad that it’s coming from a sitting governor of Kaduna State.
