Ibadan Vendor Found Dead in Hotel After Meeting Mysterious Man.
Friends, family, and customers are searching for answers after the sudden death of a well-known local businesswoman, Adeshina Olayinka. Popularly called Khadi, she was found dead in a hotel room in the Akobo area of Ibadan, Oyo State, under circumstances the police are calling mysterious.
According to details gathered from the hotel staff and local sources, the troubling series of events began when Khadi told a friend she was going to meet someone at the Wetland Hotel in Akobo. She checked into the hotel for the meeting.
The next morning, the man she met with attempted to check out very early. Following standard procedure, a receptionist called Khadi’s room to confirm everything was alright before finalizing his departure. Khadi reportedly answered the phone, gave permission for the man to leave, and said she was simply resting and would check out later herself.

Concern arose later when a hotel staff member, who had lent Khadi a power bank, went to the room to retrieve it. After knocking repeatedly with no answer, the staff alerted the hotel manager. Using a spare key card, they entered the room and discovered Khadi lifeless.
Her body has been taken by the police for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death. While official results are pending, the unusual nature of the incident has sparked distress and speculation within her community. Many who knew her have taken to social media to express their grief and shock, with some voicing fears about foul play.

Khadi was a familiar and beloved figure in her local area, known for her business and vibrant presence. Her unexpected passing has left a void.
The Oyo State Police Command has confirmed they are investigating the case. They are urging anyone with relevant information about Khadi’s movements or the identity of the man she met to come forward to assist their inquiries.
“We are treating this death as suspicious and are following all leads,” a police spokesperson stated. “Our priority is to uncover the truth for the sake of the deceased’s family.”
