Reports reaching us confirms that a recent COVID-19 test conducted on the Governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu came back negative.
Recall last month we brought you a report of Governor Ikpeazu testing positive to the novel COVID-19 virus.
According to our correspondent in the State, the Government House was filled with jubilation and excitement as Governor Okezie Ikpeazu bounces back to good health.
In a press statement released by the state Commissioner for information, Governor Ikpeazu is deemed free of the virus according to NCDC and WHO.

Here is the Press Statement:
“To the glory of God, repeat COVID-19 test conducted by Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) on samples submitted by Governor Okezie Ikpeazu on Thursday, 2nd July, 2020, returned negative result on Friday, 3rd July, 2020.
Governor Ikpeazu is therefore deemed free of the virus according to the extant guidelines of NCDC and the World Health Organization (WHO).

Also confirming the good news, the Marketing Director of Enyimba Automated Shoe Company Aba, Mrs. Adaku Uwaoma Onusiriuka Oseiza, took to her Facebook handle to rejoice with the governor.
“To God be the Glory. A thousand fell at your side and ten thousand at your right side but with your eyes, you have seen the reward of the wicked. We have come to say thank you Lord for saving our Governor, you promised us victory and you fulfilled the promise. Thank you JESUS.”
