Some months back, the Federal Government instructed all Nigerians to link their SIM cards with their National Identification Number (NIN) to prevent their mobile numbers from disconnection.
Many Nigerians are still unable to link their lines and have been barred from making calls. Those affected can only receive calls.

The fact is that many Nigerians already have their National Identification Number and they are unaware.
The truth is that everyone that did their BVN ( Bank Verification Number) when it was introduced in 2014 also has their NIN automatically assigned to them.
Yes, you heard it right, if you already have your Bank Verification Number (BVN) it means you also have your NIN ( National Identification Number).
