Mmesoma Ejikeme Finally Reveals How She Got Her JAMB Result
Mmesoma Ejikeme, the 19-year-old candidate who recently made headlines due to allegations of forging her 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) result, has shed light on the controversy surrounding her score.
In a telephone interview on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily, Mmesoma revealed that she did not visit any computer center to print her result as claimed.
According to Mmesoma, after completing the UTME, she accessed the official JAMB portal using her registered email address and phone number. She explained that upon entering her registration number on the JAMB portal, she was redirected to another server where she downloaded her result. Contrary to earlier reports, she firmly stated, “I didn’t go to any computer center.”
When asked if she printed out the result at home, Mmesoma clarified that she used her phone to check the result. Emphasizing the significance of the registration number, she explained that it is the primary requirement for downloading the result. She clarified, “It’s not the hard copy that I’m talking about; it’s the digital copy.”
During the interview, Mmesoma’s father, Romanus, also spoke and denied accompanying his daughter to a business cafe to print the result. He firmly stated, “I didn’t go with her. I didn’t go there with her.”
In response to the controversy, JAMB firmly stood by their earlier claim that Mmesoma’s result was “patently fake.” As a result, they not only revoked her result but also barred her from taking the examination for the next three years.
The situation surrounding Mmesoma Ejikeme’s alleged forgery of her UTME result has generated worldwide attention. While she maintains that she accessed her result legitimately through the JAMB portal without visiting a computer center, JAMB remains resolute in its decision to invalidate her result.
The outcome of this controversy serves as a reminder of the importance of transparency and integrity in educational assessments and highlights the consequences that can arise from fraudulent practices.
