The father of Namtira Bwala, the student who was bullied at Lead British International School in Abuja, has spoken out about the incident. In a video shared on social media, he addressed the school’s management, urging them to take decisive action against the perpetrators.

In the presence of the Minister of Women Affairs, Uju Kennedy-Ohaneye, Namtira’s father made two demands. Firstly, he requested that the school take action against the students involved in the bullying within 48 hours. Secondly, he stated that his daughter would not continue to attend the same school and class as her bullies.
The bullying incident, which was captured on video and shared on social media, sparked widespread outrage and discussions about bullying in schools. The school has since been temporarily shut down.

In a separate interview with TVC News, Namtira shared her account of the incident, stating that her bully, Maryam Hassan, approached her and slapped her repeatedly, with a staff member failing to intervene.
