Nigeria Correctional Service Denies Bobrisky VIP Treatment – Says Bobrisky is Not Housed In One Bedroom Apartment.

Following online rumors suggesting special treatment for the controversial personality Bobrisky, currently serving a six-month sentence for currency abuse, the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) in Lagos has stepped in to set the record straight.

Justice Abimbola Awogboro’s ruling on April 12, 2024, aimed to deter similar offenses, but subsequent reports claimed Bobrisky enjoyed VIP accommodations within Kirikiri Correctional Center.

NCoS spokesperson Rotimi Oladokun debunked these claims, confirming Bobrisky resides among the general population, sharing a cell like other inmates. Oladokun clarified the correctional center lacks luxurious features, housing inmates in shared facilities rather than one-bedroom flats.

The NCoS emphasized the availability of corrective and rehabilitative programs for all inmates, including educational and vocational training. Bobrisky, like others, has access to these initiatives geared towards reform and rehabilitation, as stated by the NCoS Lagos State Command.
