It is true that many politicians in Nigeria are willing to live the common life just like the common men in the society, putting their political position and status behind.

Many of these Nigerian political figures do this by probably living a moderate less extravagant life where some have been seen on many occasions having their meals in local restaurants called ” buka” also known as ‘ Mama Put’.

In this article, we will be taking a look at some of the politicians in Nigeria who are trying hard to live a moderate life and had sometimes been seen taking their meals in ‘ Mama put’ and associating with the common Nigerians.

” Mama put” may be regarded as a local or roadside restaurant where the common Nigerians eat, ” mama puts” or ” buka” nowadays are appearing clean and many Nigerian politicians or leaders had been patronizing the local eatery as they eat with peace of minds.”

1. Governor Abubakar Sani Bello

The Executive Governor of Niger State, Abubakar Sani Bello, had sometimes been seen eating in one mama put with where he was enjoying the meal served to him and relating well with Nigerians.

The Governor of Niger state is truly one of the Nigerian political figures who live a consistently moderate life and like to associates with the masses is governing.

2. Governor Ortom

Governor Samuel Ortom is the current Governor of Benue State, Ortom has also been seen eating in Mama put and bring himself low to relate with the ordinary people he is governing.

3. Sen. Orji Uzor Kalu

Senator Orji Uzor Kalu is a member of the senate and presently a Senator representing the Abia North in the Red chamber. He is a past Governor of Abia State.

Orji Uzor Kalu is a well-regarded politician in Nigeria who had been spotted on several occasions associating with the common citizens in Nigeria. He has in the past been seen in ” mama put” eating with peace of mind while enjoying the meal.

4. Ayodele Fayose

Ayodele Fayose in Ekiti State governor before Kayode Fayemi took over the seat, and he is known for his love and joy to always identify with his people or the people he leads.

As at the time when Fayose was the Governor of Ekiti State, he was loved and had so many followers because of his likeness and zeal to always associate with his people.

Fayose had been spotted eating in ” Buka” without hiding his identity and expresses love and a sense of belonging to the common people of Ekiti state.

5. Dino Melaye

Senator Dino Melaye, is member of the 8th Senate, he represented the Kogi West senatorial district. Dino as he is popularly known is a politician who love to always associate with the common man and had been seen eating in mama put to relate with the common man.
