Unbelievable! Bandits No Longer Request For Money As Ransom, See The New Means They Now Use.
It would truly be discouraging that some Bandits no more request ransom in cash from their victims. According to new reports making rounds, some Bandits now request their ransom in drugs.
This new technique of the Bandits was disclosed by the Chairman of Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Brigadier-General Buba Marwa during the induction of the Special Purpose Committee of the NDLEA in Abuja.

While talking about the horrible activities of the bandits, Marwa conveyed regrets about the ratio of drug misuse in the country. In his words, he stated ” The use of drugs in Nigeria is reaping to contagious ratios with about 15 million roughly, virtually thrice the global prevalence.

No wonder we have great crime everywhere in our land. And it is expanding rather than decreasing, beginning with kidnapping, insurgency, banditry (North West), then moving to Niger state. Criminals all use drugs, even kidnappers now ask for ransom in drugs. “
It would be a big challenge if these bandits continue to demand ransom for drugs, as it would be an expressway to encouraging drug abuse in Nigeria. Just as Marwa stressed out, the undue use of drugs in Nigeria has contributed to the high rate of criminal operations going on presently in the country, as it is constantly very difficult for anyone using illegal drugs to behave morally in society.

If I do not misjudge, I would say that all bandits use drugs; the bandits, Boko haram, and their types. It is these drugs that make them not have any respect for human lives, and can carry out any kind of evil without having human perceptions, often hungry and prepared to take away lives without pity.

I believe the horrible behaviors of these bandits began small when they started taking drugs in their several streets or homes until they advanced to what we see today.
To be more certain that drugs had lingered as a major motivation to crime, I would also reminisce that almost all drug addicts are often cultists. Almost every crime perpetrated in any community today is constantly done by those that take drugs.
Even in the higher institutions, the dangerous cultists out there are often those that take drugs.
I advise the Government to put more actions to wash away these criminals called bandits because they are inflicting pains to innocent lives and as well motivating more crime by requesting drugs as ransom.
