We Used Cutlasses To Hit Any Part Of Our Victim’s Body While Hoping That They Would Survive -Suspect.

The Federal Capital Territory police command in Abuja has apprehended a 23-year-old leader of a criminal group known for their involvement in snatching phones, handbags, and other valuables. Identified as Abdullahi, the suspect confessed to leading a three-man gang that carried out these illicit activities.

Abdullahi shockingly revealed that their modus operandi involved the use of cutlasses to intimidate and harm their victims, all while hoping they would survive the attacks. Justifying their criminal deeds, he callously stated that their actions were their only means of survival.

In a disturbing display of moral detachment, Abdullahi attributed their lack of empathy to the influence of substances that induced a state of euphoria. He admitted that being under the influence enabled them to ignore any moral qualms associated with their actions.

Detailing their post-robbery routine, Abdullahi disclosed that after each operation, they would seek out secluded locations to unload the stolen items. They meticulously separated cash from phones and other valuables with the intention of resale.

In an interview with newsmen, Abdullahi expressed a chilling indifference towards their victims, stating, “I never felt anything because I was doing my job, my only means of livelihood. Besides, we took things that made us high. That way, we couldn’t care. There was no bad feeling about robbing anybody.”

He further elaborated on their process, mentioning, “We used cutlasses to hit any part of our victim’s body while hoping that they would survive it. After every operation, we looked for a quiet place to empty the bags. We would separate the money from the phones and other valuable items and sell them off. We had standby customers for the items. Sometimes we would go to where they sell phones to dispose of them as second-hand phones.”
