We Used White Handkerchief to Clean Her Blood for Rituals – Suspects Involved In The Rape and Murder Of Vera Uwaila.
Six suspects have been paraded by the Edo police command, for their alleged involvement in the rape and murder of a 100-Level Microbiology student of the University of Benin, Uwaila Vera Omozuwa, 22, in a church in Ihovbe quarters in Benin.

The suspects are Nelson Ogbebor, Akato Valentine, Mrs. Tina Samuel, Mrs. Mary Ade, Nosa Osabohien and Collins Ijegbulem.
Recall, that Uwaila was said to have gone to the church to read in May 2020, when the suspects went into the church, raped and inflicted serious injury on her that eventually led to her death days later in the hospital.
During their parade, the suspected killers revealed that a lady, Mrs. Mary Ade, offered them N1million to carry out the killing for ritual purpose.
After the act, they allegedly cleaned the deceased’s blood with a white handkerchief and handed it over to Mary.
According to the reports on how they were caught, one of the suspects, Osabuohien Nosakhare was alleged to have bought the late Uwaila’s phone for N17,000 and he was traced by the police who arrested him and he led them to the Principal suspect, Collins Ijegbulem who directly confessed to have participated in the murder and even admitted to using the fire extinguisher on her after the other suspects had raped her.
He also named the other suspects in the gang and revealed that Mary Adeh offered the sum of N1m to the gang for the murder. They cleaned Uwaila’s blood with a white handkerchief and handed it to her.
The other lady, Tina Samuel was arrested for obstructing the arrest of her son who is a part of the deadly gang.
