Zamfara State Governor Bello Muhammed Bags AGAA Award As Most Proactive Governor of the Year 2020.

African Goodwill Ambassador Awards (AGAA) has pride itself as the apex humanitarian award in Africa and this year’s event was yet another proof as Africans from all works of life gathered to be honoured.

Among the big winners of this year’s edition was His Excellency, Bello Muhammed (Matawalle Maradun), the Executive Governor, Zamfara State who was represented by Zamfara State Commissioner of Finance Hon. Rabi’u Garba Gusau.

Mr. Bello was decorated as COVID-19 pandemic most proactive State Governor of the year through a unanimous online vote after defeating other contenders such as Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Mr. Okezie Ikpeazu, Sir Ben Ayade amongst others.

African Goodwill Ambassador Awards is a yearly event designed to honour those who have rendered selfless services to humanity.

African Goodwill Ambassador is an international body of Humanitarian service providers, excellent leaders, community developers, and Peace Ambassadors. The award’s ceremony is to celebrate the unique attributes of groups and individuals who are selflessly reaching out to those in need positively across the globe.

Reacting to this year’s edition, the convener and President International Goodwill Ambassador Club, Ambassador Chris Odey express his delight in the success of this year’s edition.

“At the end of every of my event, the joy on the faces of those I celebrate takes away all the pre-event struggles and stress”, He said.

Among others also decorated As Goodwill Ambassadors were: Rev. Yakubu Pam, Executive Secretary, Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Hon. Adamu Lawan, Commissioner of Finance Borno State, Major General Nuhu Angbazo, Chief of Training & Operations, Nigeria Army, Major General Salihu Z. UBA (RTD), Consultant Peace, Security & Conflict Management, Chief Denzil Amagbe Kentebe, Former CEO Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board, Her Royal Majesty Tinuade Babalola Adejuyigbe, Regent Oba, Oluboropa of Iboropa Akoko, Ondo State, Bar. Patience Enobah Obim, Hon. Ginika F. Tor (Mrs), Honourable Commissioner, Enugu State Federal Character Commission, Chief Dr. Chris Onyekachi Simon, CEO Softrans System Enterprise, Victoria Hauwa Ibrahim, Co-founder Youth Pen Africa, and many others.

The event was nourished with the performance of contemporary arts, comedy, and dance from various artists and cultural dance groups.  

This year’s Africa Goodwill Ambassador Awards took place at the prestigious Banquet Hall, Sheraton Hotel and Towers Abuja on 19th November 2020.
