7 Famous Criminals That Were Put to Death by Electrocution and Their Last Wishes.

Electrocution is one of the various ways of assigning a death penalty, but recently, lethal injection is preferred because people thought it was better and humane. These criminals were given the death penalty by electrocution on an electric chair, their last words were somehow disturbing.

So, here are 7 famous criminals that were killed by electrocution, and their last words before their death:

James D. French

On the 10th of August, 1966; James was executed on an electric chair. He was convicted for murdering of a motorcyclist, and also cellmates before his execution. His final words were “How’s this for a headline? French Fries!”

Robert Alton Harris

Robert Aton was convicted for the murder of two teenage boys in San Diego in 1978, his final words which also became famous after his death were – “You can be a king or a street sweeper, but everyone dances with the Grim Reaper”.

Roger Keith Coleman

On the 20th May 1992; Roger Keith Coleman was executed after been able to draw a lot of people’s attention by claiming he was innocent. However, all the pieces of evidence were pointing at him hence, he was found guilty, his final words were – “An innocent man is going to be murdered tonight. When my innocence is proven, I hope Americans will realize the injustice of the death penalty as all other civilized countries have”.

David Martin Long

David was sentenced to death for murdering 5 people in the course of 8 years. He was convicted in 1986, and during his arrest, he was only blaming the system. His final words before his execution were “I was raised by the California Youth Authority, I can’t really pinpoint where it started, what happened, but really believe that’s just the bottom line, what happened to me was in California. I was in their reformatory schools and penitentiary, but ah! They create monsters in there, that’s it I have nothing to say”.

Anna Antonio

She was convicted for hiring an assassin to kill her husband, and on the 9th of August, 1934 she was executed by electrocution. Her final words weren’t actually words but music, it is said that she kept on singing Christian prayers, she can be heard saying “I don’t’ care what you do to me, I am not afraid to die, I have nothing to my conscience, I never killed anyone”.

Aileen Wuornos

This lady was a serial killer who had murdered 7 men between 1989 to 1990, she was a sex worker and said that she murdered them due to the fact that they tried to rape her, she was executed in Florida State Prison in 2002, her final words were “I’d just like to say I’m sailing with the rock, and I’ll be back like Independence Day, with Jesus, June 6th; like the movie, big mother ship and all, I’ll be back”.

Ted Bundy

This guy was regarded as one of the worst serial killers, rapists, and pedophiles. The people he had murdered were more than what he had confessed, on the 24th January 1989 he was executed at Raiford Prison in Florida. His final words were – “I’d like you to give my love to my family and friends”, sounds amazing, right? But, according to the psychiatrists who examined him, he said the guy has no feeling of love, empathy, or remorse.
