Seven undergraduates from the current university of Ibadan, came together in the year 1952 after they were humiliated and felt different due to their family background to form a group we currently know today as the Pirates Confraternity.

At that time, the privilege was mostly given to those students whose parents were rich while the poor were humiliated.

These 7 undergraduates, who are today reffed to as the founding fathers, came together to say enough is enough.

They were group students would always come together to share their view on how to make a good effort out of themselves.

Their names were: Wole Soyinka (who is their leader), Ralph Opara, Pius Oleghe, Ikpehare Aig- Imoukhuede, Nathaniel Oyelola, Olumuyiwa Awe, Sylvanus U. Egbuche.

But today reverses become the case in our society.

The cultist group in our society has become a headache with different cult groups fighting each other for supremacy which was against the first rule of fraternity by the founding fathers.

Some cult groups are now without an agenda than to terrorize other people and innocent Nigerians here and there.
