A former Minister of Agriculture in Nigeria, Akinwumi Adesina, was Thursday re-elected as the President of the African Development Bank for the second term in office.
Adesina’s journey towards reelection has been both slippery and challenging.
With his reelection, Adesina is expected to steer the affairs of the multilateral development bank for another five years.
Adesina’s reelection took place electronically on the second day of the virtual Annual General Meeting of the bank currently holding in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire.
