Reports indicate that a h00kup girl, locally referred to as a “runs girl,” suffered a mental health crisis after exiting a car in Port Harcourt, a state in South-South Nigeria.
According to eyewitness accounts, immediately after stepping out of a Mercedes-Benz GLK, she began pulling off her clothes and rolling on the ground. Left in her underwear, she displayed signs of acute distress, talking to herself, laughing maniacally, and dragging her own hair. She was also heard repeatedly shouting, “It’s 30k they gave me ooo… it’s 30k they gave me oo,” referencing the sum of N30,000 she received.

The social media user who shared the video suggested she had been used by “yahoo boys” for a money ritual—a practice that is unfortunately common in Nigeria.

The user wrote on Facebook: “This morning another beautiful lady was used by yàhoo boys in Port Harcourt. She came down from a new car and started shouting ‘it’s 30k they gave me ooo..it’s 30k they gave me oo’ repeatedly.”
Rituals are very common among young Nigerian boys who are eager to make fast money. Some resort to using their girlfriends, and even their mothers, in money-making rituals to bring good luck to their online scam businesses.

This is not the first time a young woman has gotten out of a car and suffered a public breakdown. It has become a common occurrence, yet it seems others do not learn from these past experiences.
