ASSU Strike Has Forced Me Into Urgent Search For Husband – Gombe Female Student.
It is no longer news that the Academic Staff Union Of Nigerian Universities have been on strike for several months.
Despite numerous meetings with the federal government, the union insisted on going on with the strike until their demands are met by the government.
The lingering strike is said to be affecting some students who have been engaging in unproductive activities since they are unable to return to school and continue their studies.

The story is not different with the students of Gombe state university. A 200 level student of the school identified as Maryam Adamu in an exclusive interview with Daily Sun Newspaper, lamented that the strike has forced her into searching for husband that would get married to her.
She told Daily Sun newspaper that instead of wasting away and doing nothing, it would be better for her to settle down in marriage.
“This strike has forced me into an urgent search for a husband” Daily sun quoted the Public Administration student of GSU as saying.
