Hindu Meitei and Kuki-Zo Crisis: How Two Christian Women Were Hum!liated and Paraded N@k3d in India.
In a sh0cking incident that recently unfolded in India, the world was confronted with the grim reality of religious persecution.
Two innocent Christian women were humiliated and paraded n@k3d through an Indian village, further showing how deep-seated religious beliefs can tragically divide a nation instead of uniting it.
The distressing event took place in the state of Manipur, where escalating tensions between the Hindu Meitei and Christian Kuki-Zo communities led to violent clashes.
Amid these tensions, a mob str!ppe3d and paraded the two Christian women, subsequently g@ng-r@ping one of them. The incident, captured in a 26-second video that emerged after an internet blackout was lifted in India, sparked conversation online leading to a global outrage with many people across the world demanding for justice to be served.
The incident is a haunting reminder of the persecution faced by Christians around the world, in direct contradiction to the tenets of religious tolerance and coexistence. The Bible itself contains verses that forewarn Christians about the challenges they may encounter due to their faith. In Matthew 5:11-12, it’s stated, “Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven.”
History is replete with instances of Christian persecution, with stories like the Apostle Paul facing imprisonment and physical abuse due to his beliefs.
The tragic events in Manipur, India shows the enduring struggle that Christians endure when their faith is met with test.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi denounced the incident, vowing to bring the perpetrators to justice. He labeled the attack on the Christian women as unforgivable and called for enhanced safety measures for women across the nation. However, some critics accused him of not doing enough to address rising religious tensions.
The core of the conflict between the majority Hindu Meitei and the minority Christian Kuki-Zo communities is as a result of demands for more jobs and lands by the Meitei community which is opposed by the Kuki-Zo people. Over 120 lives have been lost, primarily from the Kuki-Zo tribe, and displaced populations and damaged churches paint a grim picture of the aftermath.
