Man Arrested for Killing Sugar Mummy Over N100,000 in Delta.

A man has been apprehended in connection with the tragic death of Glory Akpaku in Akpoveta School, Delta State. The suspect, in a chilling confession, detailed how he stabbed the victim multiple times, revealing that she was his sugar mummy.

According to a video released by Bright Edafe, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, the suspect disclosed that a bitter dispute arose between him and Akpaku regarding ₦100,000 he had entrusted to her for safekeeping. The money, crucially needed by the suspect, was denied access to him by Akpaku.

The suspect recounted confronting Akpaku to retrieve the money, but she postponed returning it until after she visits the market. Despite his persistence, she allegedly refused to hand over the money, even going as far as threatening that she wouldn’t return it if he disclosed their relationship to her son.

Frustrated by the situation, the suspect confessed to succumbing to a fit of rage and stabbing Akpaku in the neck, hand, and stomach.

Expressing remorse for his actions, he attributed his behavior to the influence of evil forces.

In response to the chilling confession, Edafe emphasized the importance of learning from such incidents, stating, “Sharing stories like this allows us to learn from the mistakes of others. In this case, the suspect allegedly murdered his sugar mummy due to a financial dispute. When asked why, he simply said, ‘It was the work of the devil’.”

Providing further updates, Edafe mentioned that the incident occurred in April, and upon the completion of the ongoing investigation, the suspect will face charges in court.

“The incident took place in April. Legal proceedings will commence once the investigation is concluded,” Edafe confirmed, shedding light on the timeline of events and the impending judicial actions.
