Me Ibu’s Sickness: Nigerian Singers Davido, Psquare, and Celebrity Blogger Tunde Ednut Pledge Their Support.
Nigerian singers Davido and Psquare, along with celebrity blogger Tunde Ednut, have vowed to provide Mr. Ibu with all the financial support he needs and ensure he receives treatment at the best hospital in the world. They are also committed to addressing other issues affecting him and his family, while Nollywood actors are busy sending their prayers.
This development comes shortly after the Bukola Saraki Foundation covered all the medical bills for the veteran comic actor.
Mr. Ibu, known for his hilarious roles in popular movies like “Mr. Ibu” and “Mr. Ibu in London,” has been battling a recurring ailment that has affected one of his legs. Doctors have warned that his leg might need amputation if he doesn’t receive the necessary treatment abroad.
Notably, Mr. Ibu, whose real name is John Okafor, made a video on his Instagram seeking help from his colleagues and well-meaning Nigerians to fund his medical treatment abroad.
Nigerians are expressing concern over the seemingly cold response of his fellow colleagues in the movie industry to his health issues.
One of his colleagues, Kate Henshaw, mentioned that they have been supporting him over the years but are overwhelmed as his sickness is recurring.
We hope that Mr. Ibu makes a full recovery and returns to good health.
