Nigeria Police Release Footage of ESN Commander Dragon Killed In Gunbattle.
It is no more news that the alleged squad commander of the Eastern Security Network ESN was killed alongside his key men in Owerri, the capital of Imo State yesterday. The battle which lasted for a while left the alleged commander and his 5 other main men dead.
Dragon, whose real name is given as Joseph Uka Nnachi, a native of Ebonyi State, was said to have led his men to attack the police headquarters in Owerri. However, the police got the intelligence report about the impending attack and quickly mobilized the combined security forces of the military and police to counter the attack.

They reportedly engaged the ESN members who came in a white hummer bus on Works Road, very close to the police headquarters in Owerri. They were about six in numbers that came for the attack. Five(5) of them were reportedly gundown in the battle, and that includes their commander who is known as Joseph Uka Nnachi ” Dragon” .

The lone survivor of the attack gave an insight into how they came for the attack on Sunday morning. The suspect’s name is given as Stanley Osinachi, a 30- year- old man from Achi/Mberi, Mbaitoli Local Government Area. He said during his parade at the force headquarters in Owerri that he was recruited into the group on the phone by Dragon himself.
He further confessed that they got their charms from one native doctor known as Aguleri in Anambra State. He gave them all the charms they are using for protection against any bullet or weapons of the enemies (security operatives). He also said they got most of their funding from abroad. He claimed that it was Dragon that used to go and receive the money and share it with them.

Meanwhile, 4 AK47 with about 200 rounds of ammunition were recovered from them. Also, some assorted charms and their white Hummer Bus which they used for the operation were equally recovered.
