Nigeria Set to Roll Out Free Financial Literacy Training for Over 100,000 Youths.
In a move to bolster the economic capabilities of its younger generation, the Federal Government is set to officially launch a free, nationwide financial literacy programme designed to train over 100,000 youths every year.
The initiative, named the “Financial Literacy, Investment, and Wealth Creation Programme,” is scheduled to be unveiled on Tuesday in Abuja. It is a collaborative effort between the Federal Ministry of Youth Development and the Investonaire Academy.

According to a statement released on Monday by Omolara Esan, Director of Press and Public Relations for the Ministry of Youth Development, the programme is a central part of the government’s efforts to provide young people with the necessary tools for managing money, making smart investments, and building sustainable wealth. The training will also include a focus on building digital skills relevant to the modern economy.

The official launch event is expected to draw a wide range of attendees, including senior government figures, leaders from the private sector, development partners, and representatives of youth groups. The goal is to foster discussions on new ways to improve the financial well-being and economic opportunities available to young people across the country.
The Minister of Youth Development, Comrade Ayodele Olawande, will serve as the chief host for the event. The Minister of Women Affairs, Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, is slated to attend as the Special Guest of Honour.
The statement also confirmed that representatives from key partner organizations will be present, including Dr. Enefola Odiba, International Programme Director of Investonaire Academy, and Mr. Bashir Nurmohamed, Chief Executive Officer of Hantec Markets.
A key feature of the new programme is its foundation on a modern online Learning Management System (LMS). This digital platform is intended to make the training accessible to a large number of youths across the country and is built to improve their understanding of finance, investing, and entrepreneurship.
To provide practical experience, the programme will also offer participants access to funded trading accounts. Those who show exceptional dedication and performance during the training may qualify for additional rewards.
The launch will also include a panel discussion where experts from the public sector, finance industry, and business community will talk about practical ways to help young people create wealth and contribute to broader economic growth that includes everyone.
Young Nigerians who are interested in joining the programme are advised to register through the official website at www.investonaire.org.
This initiative is seen as a clear demonstration of the government’s continued focus on improving financial inclusion, encouraging digital education, and empowering the youth, in keeping with the objectives of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
