Suspected Yahoo Boy Flees After His Car Kills 2 and Injures 4 In Ondo – Youths Sets Vehicle Ablaze.

A careless driver caused the death of at least two people, with four others sustaining injuries when he hit a tricycle (Keke) while driving at high speed in Ondo State.

His vehicle, a Toyota Camry, hit the tricycle along Ademulegun road. The two people who lost their lives include the Keke ride and at least one of his passengers, with the rest sustaining severe injuries.

Strangely, the driver ran away from the accident scene, instead of staying to assist the injured victims. The incident attracted nearby residents in the community, who got angry as a result of the driver’ s actions.

According to an eyewitness, what made matters worse was that it was raining at the time the driver was cruising at high speed, with the wetness of the road reducing the grip of the car tyres, causing him to lose control of the vehicle before hitting the tricycle.

Police soon got on the scene, having been notified of the hit- and- run driver, and are currently on a manhunt for him. But the angry residents wouldn’t leave the matter completely to the police.

They reportedly set the car on fire, which would make one suspect that if the driver had stayed at the scene, they probably would have beaten him to a pulp. The driver is suspected to be a Yahoo boy, but police are yet to confirm this fact.

@Lateef Olamilekan Sodiq: Why don’ t some people even have just a little sense, as we see this video, it’ s a car accident and no one can be prepared for it. Now some people that are saying yahoo, what does that mean?

@Vincent Adewole Adewetan: Well, naturally I don’ t like to talk about Yahoo guys matter.

In Ondo town alone this year, these guys, due to overspeeding, reckless driving and being drunk were involved in more than 6 fatal accidents where several people were killed.

Meanwhile, those guys usually escaped unhurt. About three years ago, one of them at Arigbabola Junction while coming from a hotel at night left the road- killed almost 6 people in an instant. So, seeing the reactions of Ondo people towards this incident was a result of the terrible experience.

@Bakare Dayo Warner: That car at worst won’ t be more than 3. 5 million, but the Keke is up to 1 million, plus the three lives lost. I am against jungle justice but the focus should be on the dead ones because a car can be replaced but the dead can’ t be replaced.
