Allure of the Seas, the biggest cruise ships in the world is a city everyone would sure love to visit some day. The monster cruise ship has the capacity of carrying 6400 passengers in addition to over 2100 crew on-board, which appears to be is greater than the population of many Australian towns. It’s value is put at $US1.12 billion. Wow, this cruise ship cost a fortune to build.

Allure of the Seas is five centimetres longer than its “big sister” Oasis of the Seas, which launched last December. “Allure” is 360 metres long and weighs 225,000 gross tonnes.

The cruise ship has so many facilities such as Jazz club, Olympic size basketball court, 40-odd bars, restaurants, theatres, casino, helipad  and many more. The beauty of Allure is that it’s divided into smaller spaces, or “neighbourhoods”. Depending on your mood, you can join the party with hundreds of cruisers or find a quiet spot.

Allure has three new dining options compared to it’s “big sister” Oasis of the Seas. Which are: a Brazilian churrascaria, Samba Grill (a surcharge of $US25 [$25.16] a person); a Mexican restaurant, Rita’s Cantina ($US7.95 surcharge); and an outdoor counter serving “gourmet” hot dogs, the Boardwalk Dog House.

Accommodation on the ship, in 2700 cabins, ranges from rooms that overlook the tree-lined Central Park to a two-storey loft suite complete with grand piano.
