Tinubu Appoints New Heads for Environmental and River Basin Agencies.
President Bola Tinubu has appointed Engr. Chukwuemeka Woke as the Director-General/Chief Executive Officer of the National Oil Spill Detection and Response Agency (NOSDRA) and Dr. Adedeji Ashiru as the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Ogun-Osun River Basin Development Authority (OORBDA).

Engr. Woke is an environmental specialist and politician with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical/Petrochemical Engineering. He has extensive experience in the environmental, safety, and operations departments of the former Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and has served as Chairman of Emohua Local Government Area and Chief of Staff at the Government House in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Dr. Ashiru holds a Doctorate degree in Engineering from the Commonwealth University, UK. He has led a consortium of blue-chip companies and has a distinguished career in his field.
