WAHALA: “No Allowance, No Market” Police Officers Protest Over Unpaid Allowance
All is not well with the officers of the Nigerian Police Force, Counter Terrorism Unit, as they staged a protest to voice out their displeasure over unpaid allowance and refusal to repost them for over 7 months.
The officers were reportedly deployed to Kastina state in January and the special duty was supposed to last for 3 months.

However, they have now been there for 7 months and have allegedly not received any allowance.
In a video shared online, a spokesman for the police is heard saying, “No allowance, no market.”
The spokesperson also requested to see the governor of Katsina State, Aminu Bello Masari, and the Commissioner of Police.

For some time now the Federal Government of Nigeria has been trying hard to reform the Nigeria Police Force following the violent ENDSAR protest that led to the death of many Nigerian.
Let’s hope the Government listens to their plea and spring into action to salvage the situation.
