What is the Main Purpose of High School Reunion Parties? You’ll Learn Something After Reading this.
A reunion was planned. He was scared to attend. It was 10 years after college. What could he point to? He had read on some of his classmates that were now made men and women. He made up his mind not to attend. He did not want pity or to be the subject of gossip.
Another colleague called him and encouraged him. “Come along, you might meet classmates that might assist you”. On that note he attended.

The colleague picked him up. At the reunion, plenty of back slaps. Excitement and joy. He felt inadequate when people shared their current status. He sat in a lonely corner. What would he share? What success? What growth? Luckily, he was not called upon.
The reunion ended. No one asked for his number. Many just glanced him over. He left feeling more dejected.
Some months after, he got into farming. Luck shined and he prospered. Married. Sponsored one or two candidates and became a man of influence.
It was 20 years. Time for another reunion. He got his best car out. Wore his most expensive attire. He desired to go and impress to tell his story. Now he has something to say. Then wisdom came to him. What was he going to get? False affection? Acclaims and applause. Some envy?

He decided he would not attend. He would look for 5 of his classmates struggling to assist to heights. To make feel more adequate. It would be discreet.
He did. He supported them. Despite not attending, he was applauded for his contribution. The last time he was there, none saw him. In his absence, his success spoke. They all noticed he did not come.
He shook his head sadly. He had learnt a lesson. His friends would remain those that cared when he was poor. Not those that were friends with his cars and money in the bank.
