Delegates of Youth in Politics Movement (YIP) headed by its National Coordinator Engr. Paul Ochai was received warmly by Honourable Davematic Ombugadu at his Abuja residence on 7th November, 2018.
Honourable Davematic is representing Akwanga, Nasarawa Egong and Wamba Federal Constituency of Nasarawa State and currently running for the gubernatorial seat of the State under People’s Democratic Party (PDP) after winning its primaries. The young humble leader exhibited excellence by conducting a tour round his property which also housed a mini printing press where branding of political materials for his campaign are done.
The mini printing press handles the production of customized bags, badges, tags, wrappers and other souvenirs used for his campaign. What struck silence was the fact that all the campaign souvenirs and branding used for his election is hand made in this press, which also speaks of his zero tolerance to unnecessary importation.
According to him:
“Why import things that can be produced locally here in Nigeria.”
Among some of his project for Nasarawa State is a 13 Storey Trade Centre which will promote home made goods and local brands in Nigeria. The 13 Storey Trade Centre symbolically represents the 13 Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
Another project he intends establishing is a mega incubation centre within the state which will handle repairs and refurbishing of cars.
Also as part of his support for education, Hon. Davematic is setting up Open University in all the local government area, a project which he intends launching even before the elections. The idea of the Open University project is to bridge the gap of age restriction and lack of affordable education system in the country. Market women, traders, farmers can access quality education through the Open University located within their territory.
The Open University to be established within each local government will have the capacity of admitting 10,000 students each in the State.
In order to make transportation easy for both students, indigene and commuters, Hon. Davematic intends to set up a mega bus station in Lafia the State capital with start of the art facilities such as Hospital, Restaurants, Shops and other modern facilities.
To promote the culture of Nasarawa State and Nigeria by extension, Hon Davematic intends setting up Heritage Centre within the State which will have the flag of different countries. It will be a tourist centre for both Nigerians and foreigners to learn about the cultures and traditions of Nasarawa State.
Hon. Davematic exhibited the prototypes, drawings, and 3D animations of each of the project mentioned to delegates of Youth in Politics and expressed optimism that the entire project will be executed to completion by God’s Grace.
The visit came to an end as the National Coordinator Youth in Politics Engr. Paul Ochai expressed satisfaction on the aspiration and good intentions of Hon. Davematic for the people of Nasarawa State.
He then pledged total support of Youths in Politics Movement for Hon. Davematic in the coming general elections 2019.
