Born on March 10, 1957, as Osama bin Mohammed bin Awad bin Laden, Osama bin laden is a renowned terrorist. He became famous for planning an attack on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, and also driving Western influence from the Muslim world.

He was born in Saudi Arabia to Mohammed Awad bin Laden a construction billionaire and his 10th Syrian-born wife Alia Ghanem. From his mother’s side, he is the only child but the seventh child born to his father Mohammad.

This helped him to get a greater deal from them. By the 1960s, he had managed to land several large government contracts to build extensions on the Mecca, Medina, and Al- Aqsa mosques.

His Educational Background

At King Abdul Aziz University in Jeddah, Osama Bin Laden studied business administration and later received instruction in religious studies from Muḥammad Quṭb.

His time at the university was key to his future role as leader of al- Qaeda, not only in influencing his radical views but also in providing him with the skill to market al- Qaeda.

Formation Of Al Qaeda

Osama Bin Laden formed his secret network known as al Qaeda (Arabic for ” the Base” ) in 1993. His secret group consists of militant Muslims he had met while serving in Afghanistan. These militant soldiers were recruited based on their ability to listen, their good manners, obedience, and their pledge to follow their superiors.

The secret group was established to take up jihadist cause around the world righting perceived wrongs under the accordance of pure, Islamic law. The group he founded started organizing global attacks globally under his leadership.
