Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) Wednesday reported 12 new cases of COVID-19 ( Coronavirus ), bringing the total count to 151.
The centre said the new cases were reported in Osun State (nine); Edo State (two); and one in Ekiti State.
“As at 12:30pm, April 1, there are 151 confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported in Nigeria. Nine patients have been discharged with two deaths recorded,” NCDC said.
The new case in Ekiti State has displaced the state government’s euphoria on Tuesday when it declared the state Coronavirus-free, after the state’s lone index case was discharged.

Oyo – 8
Ogun – 4
Edo – 4
Kaduna – 3
Enugu – 2
Bauchi – 2
Ekiti – 2
Rivers -1
Benue – 1
Meanwhile, NCDC has advised Nigerians to endeavour clean all surfaces like door handles, stair rails and tables frequently.

“COVID-19 can live on these surfaces and be contracted after touching them and then touching your face,” the agency explained.
