14-Year-Old Girl Recounts Horror: ‘Pastor Amos Isah Pushed, Raped Me After I Refused to Undress.
A 14-year-old secondary school student has accused Apostle Amos Isah, the founder and General Overseer of Prophetic Voice of Fire Ministry International, Gwagwalada, of raping her in a secluded church office — a shocking allegation that has rocked the local community and sparked calls for accountability.
The victim, identified by the pseudonym Esther Moses Bunya to protect her identity, is a committed member of the church’s Media Unit and attends the church with her mother. According to her account, Apostle Amos began giving her unusual and unsolicited attention around July 2024, frequently checking on her and summoning her to his office under various pretexts. Though sometimes uncomfortable, Esther said she trusted him as her spiritual father.

On Saturday, May 24, 2025, Apostle Amos invited her to his office. She declined, explaining she had to mind the family shop as her mother was away. He then asked her to come on Monday, May 26, 2025, after school.
Esther called him twice that Monday to confirm, but received no answer. He later returned her call, urging her to come immediately as he had a few minutes to spare. Her unsuspecting mother gave her permission.
Upon arrival, the pastor’s assistant notified Pastor Amos, who then called for her and took her by the hand away from the busy church premises to an unfinished building where he maintained a private office. There, according to Esther, he locked the door, undressed, ordered her to do the same, and when she hesitated, forced her to the floor and raped her.

Esther said she began to bleed during the assault. When Apostle Amos asked if she was menstruating, she told him she had completed her period the previous week. After the alleged rape, he led her back to the main church area, made her kneel for prayer, handed her ₦3,000 and dismissed her.
Too traumatised to speak out immediately, Esther kept the incident to herself until she was persuaded by the mother of a friend, who revealed she had narrowly avoided a similar ordeal. Esther finally told her mother on May 29, 2025. Her mother, in turn, informed her father the next day.

By May 31, 2025, Esther’s father reported the matter at the nearest Police Division, which promptly arranged for her medical examination.
While the investigation was ongoing, Esther received a call from someone at the Police Area Command in Gwagwalada, summoning her over a counter-allegation. She appeared with her father, and both gave statements. Apostle Amos also came to the Area Command, where the investigating officer reviewed WhatsApp chats between him and Esther, further corroborating her account.
Despite this, the clergyman was released the same day through third-party intervention, fuelling the family’s fears that the matter was being compromised due to his local influence.
Determined to secure justice, Esther’s father escalated the case to the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) on Monday, June 16, 2025. Acting on the fresh report, FCID operatives arrested Apostle Amos on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, and ordered all parties to return the next day for further statements.
As of press time, Apostle Amos remains in custody; however, credible reports indicate persistent attempts by influential individuals to undermine the investigation and secure his release.
The family and child rights advocates are calling on the police authorities and the public to ensure that justice is neither delayed nor denied
