“Imagine What Muslims Are Spreading, They Are Not Happy With Me” – Evangelist Ibrahim Laments After R.I.P Image of Him Circulates Online
A former Muslim who converted to Christianity is now crying out over what he describes as persecution following his change of faith.
Evangelist Ibrahim Dikko, previously known as Ibrahim Dikko, has alleged that many Muslim folks want him dead and have even gone as far as sharing photos of him online with the inscription R.I.P. The images circulating on social media show his picture with the words “Rest In Peace” written across it, a move he sees as a death wish from those unhappy with his conversion.
Dikko, who now serves as a Christian Evangelist and preacher, spoke out about the harassment he has faced since leaving Islam. According to him, the attacks have been relentless, with many people sending him threatening messages and wishing him harm.
But despite the threats, the Evangelist remains strong in his faith. He stressed that he will not die until his appointed time by God, and no amount of online attacks or death wishes will change that.
“Imagine what Muslims are spreading, they are not happy with me,” he lamented in a post reacting to the R.I.P images circulating about him.

His Facebook post has since generated heated conversation, with many Nigerians weighing in on the matter. While some condemned those attacking him, others called for tolerance and respect for personal choices.
Many commenters pointed out that Nigeria is a country of multiple religions, and people are allowed to choose and practice any faith of their choice. The constitution guarantees freedom of religion, and no one should be threatened for changing their beliefs.

Some cautioned those attacking the Evangelist to allow him choose his faith in peace. They argued that if a Muslim converts to Christianity or a Christian converts to Islam, it is their personal decision and should not attract threats or violence.
This incident once again brings to light the issue of religious intolerance in Nigeria. While the country is roughly split between Muslims and Christians, tensions sometimes flare up when individuals decide to switch from one faith to another.

In extreme cases, converts face rejection from family members, loss of friendships, and even threats to their lives. Evangelist Ibrahim’s case shows that even public figures are not safe from such attacks.
The R.I.P images circulating about him are not just hurtful but also dangerous. In a country where religious violence has claimed many lives, such posts can incite others to take action against the preacher.
Despite everything, Ibrahim Dikko says he is not afraid. He believes his life is in God’s hands and no one can take it before its time. His message to those attacking him is clear: he will continue to preach and share his faith regardless of what they do.

His courage has earned him sympathy from many Nigerians, including some Muslims who condemned the death wishes directed at him. They argued that Islam teaches peace and respect, and those attacking him do not represent the true teachings of the faith.
Under Nigerian law, everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience, and religion. This includes the right to change your religion or belief. Threatening someone’s life because they converted to another faith is a criminal offence.
Security agencies rarely get involved in such matters unless the victim reports a direct threat. But with the way things are going, Evangelist Ibrahim may need to take extra precautions to protect himself from those who wish him harm.

Nigeria still has a long way to go when it comes to religious tolerance. Whether Muslim or Christian, citizens must learn to respect each other’s choices. No one should be threatened, attacked, or wished dead simply because they decided to follow a different path.
As one commenter put it, “If he was a Muslim and became Christian, leave him alone. If he was Christian and became Muslim, leave him alone. It is between him and his God.”
For now, Evangelist Ibrahim Dikko continues his work, preaching the gospel and hoping that those who wish him harm will one day leave him in peace.
