Calaber Lady Arrested For Murdering Her for Money Rituals.
It was a black Friday, the 27th of November 2020, when a 25 – year old lady butchered her mother for ritual in uruan Anan in the Ikot Ekpene region of Akwa Ibom State. It was indeed black!

Details obtained from a neighborhood that posted the photographs on social media reveals that the accused lady had earlier on had a quarrel with her mother over a man.
It was said that when the quarreling became very serious and uncontrollable, she attacked and butchered her mother with a cutlass. She further packed her mother’s body in a large basin probably for ritual purposes, as can be seen in the photos below:

Confirming the ugly incident, Akwa Ibom State Police Command said it has captured one Mary Ime, an occupant of Umoh Obot in Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, who purportedly butchered her mom, Eka Ime on Friday, 27th November 2020, and cut her body into various parts.
It was gathered that angry youths in the community forced her to park her butchered mother’s parts into a bowl and strolled round the community in complete condemnation of the incident.

Furthermore, when she was arrested by the police, she showed no rumorse, rather she told the officers that she doesn’t care if they arrest her or not.
In any case, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Odiko Macdon, who affirmed the occurrence in Uyo, expressed shock and dissatisfaction at such ugly incident.
He said no correct reasoning individual would butcher her own mother in quite an abhorrent way, adding that the police would direct a test to affirm her perspective before she is charged to court.
As indicated by the PPRO, “The story is valid; she butchered her mum. We are associating that she isn’t with sound psyche yet we don’t have any clinical prove yet to affirm that.
“Clinical faculty should decide whether she is of sound psyche, in light of the fact that no correct reasoning individual will slaughter her mom by butchering her.
“Right now, we have her in our custody. We have gathered the pieces of her mom and saved them in the morgue. When we discover her perspective we will charge her in like manner, we have directed fundamental examination and more cautious examination is in transit and she will be charged to court following that. ” He concluded
