A popular Yoruba prophet publicly declared himself the Jesus Christ of Oyigbo, a town under Lagos State. Just like movies, thousands of people started to visit his church and attend many of his programs where the lames reportedly walked, blind sees, barren became mothers, the jobless person became Managers and Poor became rich. He was truly a man of self-acclaimed god.

Prophet Emmanuel Odumosu came out to the public and declared himself Jesus in 1959.

Then, he was just 43 years old. He set up his church, sitting it headquarters at Oyigbo. From different parts of Nigeria and Africa, people were rushing to His church to be partakers of his miracles. Within few years, his church on Sundays will be filled like ” what is going? ” . so many people believe he is Jesus of Nazareth in black skin.

Sadly, to be a member of his church and to be able to see him and ask for counseling, you will receive 9 hot strokes of the holy cane from him. He said the cane is meant to baptize his new members but people Still don’t care, they wanted to be caned and receive their blessings.

In 1988, he died, then he was just 73 years old, he died in a local hospital outside the Oyigbo area.

Just like he has always promised his church members that he will died and rise up after 3 days like Jesus Christ of Nazareth, he rose as promised but was strucked to death by thunder after rising.

Many people interpreted this to mean that no one can be like Jesus.
