Briel Adams-Wheatley, 26, was born in São Paulo, Brazil with a rare condition called Hanhart Syndrome, which affects the development of limbs. Her birth mother made the difficult decision to put her up for adoption after realizing she could not afford the medical costs her baby would need .

Growing up in a large family taught Briel how to be independent. Her mother made sure of that. She told her other children they were not allowed to do everything for their sister. Briel had to learn how to do things herself, whether it was getting around the house or later, learning how to apply makeup .
Today, Briel has millions of followers across TikTok, Instagram and YouTube. She posts under the handle @no_limbs_ and shares videos of her makeup routines, cooking, dancing and life with her husband Adam, whom she married in 2021 .
Her makeup videos have gone viral many times. In them, she shows how she uses her mouth to pump foundation bottles and holds brushes between her shoulder and the table to create detailed looks. One video where she did an Ariana Grande-inspired makeup look got over 26 million views.

Briel also identifies as transgender and has shared parts of her transition journey online . She says her husband has been supportive of her being her true self .
Before finding fame on social media, Briel worked as a motivational speaker, something her parents encouraged her to do from a young age. But it made her unhappy. When the pandemic hit in 2020, it cancelled her speaking tours, and that turned out to be a blessing. She turned to TikTok and never looked back .
She does not use prosthetics and says she sees no need for them. “I’ve become so independent already without them that I just don’t even see the point,” she said in an interview. “I have no arms, and I’m still doing anything and everything that I want to do in my life” .
Briel also uses her platform to speak out against bullying. She has talked openly about how cruel comments from strangers online once pushed her to dark places. She credits her mother for teaching her to focus on the positive and to be kind to others, a lesson that still guides her today .
Now living in Utah with Adam and their dogs, Briel continues to create content and inspire people around the world with her message of living without limits.
