More Details About Deeper Life Pastor Kidnapped By Gunmen During Church Service at Ondo State.

Some unknown gunmen on Monday evening stormed a branch of the Deeper Life Christian Church located at Irese Community in Akure South Local Government Area of Ondo State and kidnapped the pastor of the church by name Otamayomi Ogedengbe.

Sources said the armed masked men arrived the church premises in a Toyota Corolla vehicle at around 9pm and kidnapped the pastor and took him to an unknown location.

A worshipper in the church identified as Paul disclosed to newsmen that the pastor was abducted inside the church when service was ongoing. He said the criminals arrived the church in a Toyota Corolla sport car that was black in colour and kidnapped the cleric alone leaving behind his wife whom he came to church with.

An eye witness revealed that the pastor and his wife arrived the church together for a programme and some minutes later the gunmen stormed the church and took only the pastor and left behind the wife.

The Ondo state Police Public Relations Officer of the command, Mr Tee Leo Ikoro, when contacted confirmed the incident and said that the anti kidnapping unit of the command have already started a man hunt for the kidnappers with the aim of rescuing the victim alive as well as bringing the culprits to book.

The Police Public Relations Officer also said that the police is already on the trail of the hoodlums and have commenced detailed investigations into the incident.

Mr Tee Leo also called on the members of the public with useful information that will lead to the immediate arrest of the culprits not to hesitate in making such information available to the Police.

However, it was noted that the abductors have not made contacts with any member of the pastor’ s family as at the time of filling this report.
