Since they started dating seriously five years ago, the two have discussed getting hitched. David gave an interview to Afrimax TV about his life, describing how he was brought up in a Christian environment and has spent his entire life serving God.
As he grew older, though, he recognized he needed to find a spouse and thought it would be a big challenge. He prayed for a companion while maintaining his faith in God. He claimed that an unidentified voice told him that Claudine was the ideal partner for him.

Claudine has also fallen in love with him despite the numerous words of dissuasion she has received from her friends who think their relationship is inappropriate. However, as their relationship got deeper, David revealed that he had proposed to Claudine, and she had said yes. They are currently engaged.
