“Nigeria Needs Prayers and Support as Many Struggle with Hunger and Poverty”: American Influencer Woah Vicky
American influencer Woah Vicky has expressed her concern over the living conditions in Nigeria during her recent visit to the country.
Woah Vicky, a popular content creator, shared her displeasure regarding the struggles of Nigerians, highlighting the widespread issues of hunger and poverty.
She lamented that many visitors to Nigeria seem to focus solely on nightlife and clubbing, failing to portray the harsh realities faced by the majority of the population.

Vicky called for more support and prayers for Nigerians, emphasizing that the situation in the country is even worse than what is often reported in the media.
“Nigeria needs prayers and tangible support. I recently visited Lagos, and while it’s known for its nightlife and clubs, I couldn’t help but notice how many people there are struggling with hunger and poverty. It’s sad to see visitors focusing only on the parties,” she said.
“Let’s pray for this country and find ways to contribute to real change,” she added.
It should be recalled that Woah Vicky recently visited Lagos, Nigeria’s largest city and Africa’s hub for the popular “Detty December” festivities. However, she expressed disappointment, stating that her expectations of the visit were not met.

Her observations may not be far from the truth, as many Nigerians continue to grapple with the adverse effects of recent government policies. Decisions such as the floating of the naira and the removal of the fuel subsidy have significantly worsened living conditions, with some critics arguing that these policies have set the country back by 20 years.

While the government insists that these measures are designed to strengthen the economy in the long run, citizens are being asked to endure the hardship. Ironically, the same leaders advocating for patience enjoy luxurious lifestyles funded by hefty salaries and allowances, further alienating them from the plight of the common people.
During her visit, Woah Vicky shared a video of herself with Nigerian currency, giving her followers a glimpse of her experiences in the country.
