Nigerians React As Buhari Makes Final Decision About Nnamdi Kanu.
Nigerians have reacted to the recent decision of President Muhammadu Buhari, over the fate of the detained leader of the popular group in the South- east known as the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
However, President Buhari noted that Nnamdi Kanu was circulating false information to the public about his regime when he was overseas, insisting that the IPOB leader must appear in court in order to defend himself.
Meanwhile, he made this known during an interview aired on Channels Television on Wednesday night which was monitored by so many Nigerian media.

Nonetheless, Nigerians have reacted to Buhari’s sudden change of mind because he had already assured some Igbo elders who visited him last year about Kanu’s case that he would try his best in ensuring that the IPOB leader would be released.
Furthermore, while speaking on Wednesday night during the television interview, President Buhari re-emphasized the importance of Kanu’s presence in the court of law.
According to him, ” There is one institution that I wouldn’t interfere with, that is the judiciary, Kanu’s case is with the judiciary but what I wonder is when Kanu was safely in Europe, abusing this administration and mentioning too many things, I thought he wants to come and defend himself on the accusations.

So, we are giving him an opportunity to defend himself in our system, not to be abusing us from Europe as if he was not a Nigerian. Let him come here with us and then criticize us here. Nigerians know that I don’t interfere with the judiciary, let him be listened to. But those who are saying that he should be released, no, we cannot release him.
While speaking on the said ‘ adoption of a political solution towards Kanu’ s case’ which was earlier stated by the federal government, President Buhari said, ” There is a possibility of a political solution.

If people behave themselves, all well and good but you can’t go to a foreign country and keep on sending incorrect economic and security problems against our country and thinking that you would not account for what you have been doing. Let him account for what he has been doing. “
